Even though the calendar on my wall reads March, my tiny little corner of Maine has seen more snow in the last two weeks than it had all winter. This latest snow storm dumped just about 2 feet outside my door!
Snow days are jammie days around my house and when the boys (both human and canine) get too antsy, we just slap a jacket on top and make our way outside. Christian delighted in climbing the snow bank mountains and pelting me with snowballs from the top with Rocky digging igloos beside him.
When our fingers and toes got too chilled, we went back inside and I broke out a Magic School Bus experiment kit and some wintery themed poetry read alouds to help keep the stir crazy at bay 🙂
Crafting-wise, I have been on a sock kick lately. I’m nearing the home stretch of Christian’s mono-grey socks, which have been delightful to work on during quiet moments of school. I love the Felici colorway I’m working with and I am super excited I bought enough of it to do a matching pair for Craig.
These socks have also been the perfect companion to the audiobooks I’ve been listening to. Currently, I’m listening to A Wrinkle In Time (narrated by Hope Davis) to get ready to see the movie. I can’t believe I haven’t ever read this before! It is SO good!
I’m linking up with Frontier Dreams’ Crafting On series. What are y’all working on? I can’t wait to see!
