This weekend we got our first snow of the season and today it is snowing again. It seemed to come late this year and I was totally ready for the world to be transformed into the white, winter wonderland that Maine is known for. But with the snow came the cold and the overwhelming urge to stay inside and hibernate under the cozy blankets, while Christian plays with his LEGO advent creations. That is, until I remember that I have a rambunctious kiddo and crazy dog to match and they don’t play calmly for very long, haha!
For the last couple of years, we have participated in the Nature Pal Exchange’s family Christmas exchange and I am excited to be doing it again this year! It always provides me with the motivation to bundle us all up and get out in the fresh air to collect materials for the ornaments. I love taking my camera out and snapping images of the beauty that I am blessed to live around 🙂
Our reading this week is also particularly season inspired. I discovered William’s Winter Nap at the library a few weeks ago and both Craig and Christian loved it so much that I had to make it a part of our permanent library 🙂 My book this week is also a library find, and the short stories are a delight to read by the tree while the guys are wrestling or playing ball after supper. My project this week is Holt by Alicia Plummer and it is equally a delight to work on when we settle down to watch a show or movie before bed time. This is my first time working with the Good Karma yarn and it has such a soft and squishy feel as it runs through my fingers. This project is flying by so hopefully it will be off the needles and on my head by this weekend <3
What are you crafting and reading this week? I’m joining in with Frontier Dream’s Crafting On series 🙂 Come over and find some new inspiration!
